In 2017 Beth and Ali presented the Book Clubs in Schools programme to a live crowdfunding audience at The Funding Network’s Festive Fundraiser. One year on they describe the impact the generosity of supporters has had on achieving their goals. Watch the video.  

Book Clubs in Schools (BCiS) is a cross-age student mentoring scheme where older secondary school students facilitate book clubs to younger students. Our vision is that all young people engage with the wider world through developing their character and communication skills and a love of reading. We aim to give every younger student the opportunity to participate in the programme as a book clubber – particularly reluctant readers – and to work in all UK schools.
